Meltex’s quality management is the continuous development of operations, aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction as well as the safety and durability of products and services.

Product Quality Markings
Meltex’s quality management includes quality planning, control, assurance, and improvement. Products are manufactured and labeled according to international or national standards. The quality assurance of in-house products is carried out in accordance with our quality manual and external quality control performed by VTT.
Only responsible suppliers whose products meet current requirements and are properly labeled are accepted as supplier partners.
Nordic Poly Mark
Nordic Poly Mark is a voluntary quality label for plastic pipe products. In Europe, plastic pipes now have common product standards, and the Nordic countries share relatively similar quality construction traditions.
The quality level of the Nordic Poly Mark meets the requirements set for plastic pipes by Nordic user organizations.
The Nordic Poly Mark is granted by INSTA-CERT, which defines the scope of both internal and external quality control in its certification guidelines. For products labeled with the Nordic Poly Mark, manufacturers commit to continuous quality control, supervised by an independent testing organization.

CE Marking
The CE marking is a manufacturer’s declaration that the product meets the requirements set by the European Union. The CE marking for construction products is not a quality label per se and does not alone guarantee the product’s suitability for a construction project.
Meltex-manufactured and sold products are CE-marked where a harmonized product standard exists that allows for such marking.
Currently, for example, there are no European-wide harmonized product standards for drainage pipes, rainwater pipes or chambers, cable protection pipes, or pressure pipes that would allow these products to be CE-marked. Therefore, MELTEX manufactures and marks these products according to national standards and common Nordic quality labels.

FI Marks
The FI safety mark indicates that the product meets the relevant safety requirements and is safe to use in Finnish conditions. It also provides a basis for the product’s safety throughout the European area.
The FI compliance mark shows that the product or material meets the relevant requirements, which may include strength, tightness, durability, sizing, and safety.
The FI mark is a registered trademark. It is a well-known and respected, impartial indicator of product safety and quality. The FI mark may only be used on products with a valid certificate issued by SGS Fimko Oy or Inspecta Oy.
