Foam plastic base strip, also known as foundation seal, for use as insulation between the foundation and the bottom guide beam.

The foam polyethylene used for the foundation seal can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to +95 °C and is resistant to most chemicals used in construction work. The strength properties, elongation at break, and tear strength of the seal are of high quality. Due to its thermal insulation properties, flexibility, and resistance to moisture, the foundation seal is also suitable for varying humidity conditions.

The foundation seal is most commonly used as thermal and moisture insulation between the foundation and the bottom guide beam. Other applications include sealing points between different structural elements of the building, such as wall structures, window and door frames, wall elements, ground floors, and load-bearing walls, as well as areas where construction elements have varying manufacturing and installation tolerances. The foundation seal also insulates structural noise.
