The Klaro small treatment plant operates based on a biological activated sludge process combined with phosphorus precipitation using chemicals. A large soakaway field is not required, as the treated wastewater can be absorbed into the soil, such as through an open ditch or using an infiltration module.

Klaro’s reliability is based on the so-called mammoth pumping, where the system’s operations are carried out by an air blower. There are no moving parts or replaceable filters in the sludge, ensuring low maintenance. The quiet air compressor and control panel are installed above ground in an external unit or indoors, such as in a technical room, allowing for easy management and maintenance of the system.
