Pumping stations and equipment chambers

In Keuruu, we manufacture tanks of various sizes and shapes for chamber, pumping station, and wastewater applications using the rotational molding method. Rotational molding is a cost-effective manufacturing process for large pieces, where the batch size may be small. In Keuruu, we also further process the products to completion, equipping pumping stations, chambers, tanks, and hydrants so that they are ready to be shipped directly from our factory to the customer.

Production method

In rotational molding, a required amount of raw material is placed into the mold, which is then transferred to an oven to rotate around its horizontal and vertical axes. As the raw material exceeds its melting point in the oven, it begins to flow along the walls of the mold, forming a hollow, tank-like structure inside the mold. After leaving the oven, the product must be cooled, allowing the plastic to solidify and attain its final properties.

Raw materials

We primarily use polyethylene as the raw material in our products. Its properties are best suited for the manufacturing of various products that require durability, resistance to different chemicals, and protection against arctic climate conditions. Polyethylene is also an easily handled and recyclable material.
