Rainwater chambers are used for directing rainwater, runoff, and meltwater into the rainwater sewer.
The bodies of the rainwater chambers are manufactured at Meltex’s Kuhmoinen and Keuruu factories, and the chambers are assembled at several locations. The main manufacturing materials for the chambers and chamber components are polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Meltex rainwater chambers meet the requirements of standard SFS 3468 and special guideline EO 343.
Meltex rainwater chambers have a grated cover and a sediment trap, which prevent sand and other solid materials from entering the rainwater sewer. Standard chambers come with one outlet connection, and additional inlet connections can be made using penetration seals or retrofit saddle connections. The standard delivery includes a 315x750mm telescopic pipe with a 40tn cast iron cover. Rainwater wells can also be equipped with a 5tn plastic cover.
