Rainwater and drainage systems

The stormwater system carries rainwater from the roof and yard areas in a controlled manner, reducing the formation of puddles and the flooding of stormwater. The rainwater is directed through downpipes installed over stormwater drains and further into the stormwater pipe. Rainwater can also be collected from yard areas using stormwater drains with grates and line drainage channels. The drainage system dries the building’s foundation by directing rainwater away from the walls and the foundation area. The drainage thus protects the building’s foundation and structures from moisture, mold, and frost damage. The drainage system consists of perforated drainage pipes placed along the walls, and inspection wells in the building’s corners, from which the system’s functionality can be checked, and the pipes can be serviced if necessary.
